Dolores is a Sundays at JASA student. She and her husband, Don, are college sweethearts who met while living in the same dorm. Both of them were English majors and shared a passion for the arts, culture, and teaching. Their love story has become a part of the history of JASA.
Don and Dolores are retired but continue to grow and learn. Dolores learned about JASA through a New York Times crossword puzzle created by students from Sundays at JASA. Intrigued, she researched the program and discovered a wide variety of 18+ courses led by professional instructors. The couple was impressed by the diverse range of classes offered, and upon trying it out, they knew it was the perfect fit for them. Don and Dolores commend the instructors for their expertise and friendly nature, and they enjoy all of the classes offered. Although they find it difficult to choose favorites, they highly recommend modern poetry, opera, and masterpieces of art.
“What we wanted was college-level classes - and that’s exactly what we got! We have more than 18 courses to choose from, all led by professional instructors. Virtual classes through Sundays at JASA have been a silver lining to the pandemic!”
