The Larisa

Larisa was born and raised in the USSR (Russia). She graduated from school and entered the Institute in Moscow. When she moved to the USA, she worked in the fashion industry. After retiring, Larisa discovered how much free time she had, and realized how much she longed to draw.  Ever since her childhood, Larisa had dreamed of learning to draw.  

While at her JASA Older Adult Center, Larisa heard about the opportunity to take art classes.

“I decided to try it and came to the center for the first time in 2022. Last year's show (in which I participated for the first time) inspired me and I began to attend classes regularly. It's nice to learn new things about artists and their works. After each lesson and communication with like-minded people, I receive a new supply of inspiration. The center brings together lonely people who need communication.”
