The Raisa

Raisa first attended her neighborhood JASA center after she received a call about attending classes. She immediately joined and began enjoying the different classes they offered.

“I had never painted before, but I discovered that I can hold a brush and make something! This is the fourth year I’ve been, and it’s a lot of fun! I am retired, so I found my hobby and I like it. It gives me self-esteem that I can create something beautiful.”

“When you’re retired, it can be lonely and it’s hard to go outside. It gives me something to look forward to. I have so many friends in my classes, they’re very nice people, I love it. I want to say thank you to JASA because it makes my life richer. We make new friends, we discuss, it’s wonderful.”
